Your Weekly Language Learning Shedule

This schedule and checklist is designed to refine your language skills and that makes it perfect for C1–C2 level learners.
At this stage, the best thing you can do is fully immerse yourself in the language and perhaps even in the culture and customs of your target language’s country/ies.

Included is an essential checklist of tools and habits that come in handy while studying, along with a few optional extras to elevate your learning experience.

The most important thing is to set specific goals, stick to your plan, stay consistent and above all, HAVE FUN!

Monday – 30min

Advanced Vocabulary and Listening
  • 15 min: Learn 5–7 new high-level words/expressions from a podcast, article, or show
  • 15 min: Watch/listen to a short segment (news, interview, panel discussion) → take note of how advanced expressions are used in context

Tuesday 

Grammar & Style Refinement
  • 15 min: Study an advanced grammar or stylistic point (e.g., subjunctive, inversion, rhetorical questions)
  • 15 min: Write 3–5 sentences or a short paragraph using that structure → Self-edit or use a tool like LanguageTool for fine-tuning

  • Language learning apps: Babbel, Duolingo, Ling
  • For language-learning buddies: Tandem

Wednesaday

Advanced Reading + Summary
  • 20 min: Read a dense article (editorial, essay, academic blog or a C2 level book)
  • 10 min: Write or speak a 2–3 sentence summary using formal or topic-specific language

Thursday

Speaking Practice + Pronunciation
  • 15 min: Record yourself speaking about a current topic or abstract idea
  • 15 min: Listen back and analyze clarity, hesitations, and pronunciation → shadow 3–4 lines of native audio for fluency and intonation

Friday

Weekly Review + Active Recall
  • 10 min: Review all vocab and grammar learned this week
  • 10 min: Do sentence translations (native ↔ target language) to check understanding
  • 10 min: Practice 2 speaking prompts based on the week’s themes

Weekend

Optional Practice or Flex Time
  • Watch a movie or read a short story
  • Write a mini reflection or journal entry
  • Engage in a live conversation (Tandem, etc.)
  • Set next week’s focus (e.g., formal tone, debate phrases, regional accent)
