Candice’s Diet Routine

“Your body is a machine. Learn the right way to take care of it.”

Diet Philosophy: Candice emphasizes balance in her approach to eating. She typically keeps one meal lighter during the day, often opting for a heartier lunch so her body has time to burn it off. In the evening, she prefers something lighter and makes sure to always start the day with a substantial breakfast.

Morning Routine: Candice Swanepoel starts her mornings by hydrating, beginning the day with ice water and drinking plenty of water throughout the morning. She also incorporates coconut water and enjoys smoothies made with a mix of ingredients, along with supplements like fish oil. She focuses on balance, making sure to include a variety of food groups such as vegetables, fruits, and carbohydrates.

She enjoys juices and considers them an important part of her diet, though she has shared that she doesn’t believe in living on juices alone, noting that it wouldn’t suit her mood or energy levels.

Exercise Regimen

She likes to change it up …

Candice Swanepoel likes to keep her workouts varied, incorporating activities such as yoga, swimming, boxing, and paddle boarding. While she enjoys mixing things up, Pilates remains her favorite form of exercise.

When she’s in New York, she also does an hour of resistance training with Justin Gelband.

When on holiday, Candice stays active in more relaxed ways spending time on the beach, playing tennis, running, and swimming. She has shared that making workouts enjoyable is key for her, as it makes exercise feel less like a chore.

Her favorite form of exercise, she says, is anything that doesn’t feel like working out at all.

She does it when she is overwhelmed and stressed …

The supermodel has shared that she also meditates, allowing herself to find flow with music. She considers it a personal ritual and turns to it whenever she feels overwhelmed or stressed, aiming to practice at least twice a week.

Candice’s Skincare Rituals

Morning and Night Routine

Morning: Candice follows a consistent skincare routine, cleansing, toning, and moisturizing twice a day, and applying eye cream religiously. She prefers a foaming cleanser because she has naturally oily skin and likes the feeling of thoroughly removing dirt and buildup. She also incorporates a serum into her routine.

Night: Her nighttime skincare routine is largely the same as her daytime one, but instead of a serum, she uses a retinol.

Daily, Weekly & Monthly Routines

Daily: Candice Swanepoel applies sunscreen every day, regardless of the weather. She also enjoys body brushing to stimulate circulation and regularly uses body oils.

Weekly: She exfoliates twice a week to keep her skin smooth and refreshed.

Monthly: Every couple of months, Candice opts for a professional body scrub to help remove dead skin and maintain an even glow.

Her Everyday MakeUp Routine

Skin: Candice Swanepoel applies concealer under her eyes, around her nose, and on her chin, preferring to use her hands because the warmth helps the makeup blend seamlessly. She adds blush to the apples of her cheeks, her eyelids, and her nose. She has stated that she “would be nothing without contour,” using it on her cheekbones, jawline, and nose. Highlighter is another favorite applied to her brow bone, cheeks, the inner corners of her eyes, and her cupid’s bow. Bronzer finishes the look, applied to her cheeks and forehead.

Eyes: For mascara, Candice focuses on the roots and fans out her lashes. She doesn’t always apply mascara to her lower lashes, as her bottom lashes are naturally longer than the top ones.

Eyebrows: She prefers a bushy brow, shaping them with a brow brush and filling them in with a pencil.

Lips: Instead of using a liner, Candice sometimes paints her lips directly on the bow with a small brush to create a more pouty effect. She loves shades close to her natural lip color.

Hair: Candice likes to sleek her hair back when it’s wet, tie it into a bun, and accessorize with earrings for a quick “facelift” effect.
